Abstract

Domestic wastewater is the biggest pollutant that enters the waters and contributes to increasing pollution because it contains materials or substances that can be bad for the environment and harmful to human health. Therefore, any wastewater produced needs to be managed appropriately to reduce the concentration of contaminants contained therein using a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). This study aims to find out the role of wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) in dealing with domestic waste. This study uses the literature review method by collecting online literature data sources related to wastewater treatment plants (WWTP). It was found that 5 (five) studies met the research criteria.
