Abstract
This classroom action research (CAR) aims to improve the learning outcomes of sixth-grade elementary school students on the topic of environmental care in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) through the application of the inquiry method. The research was conducted in three cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 31 sixth-grade students at SDN Girimekar 1 Cilengkrang. Data was collected through learning outcome tests, observation of student activities, and field documentation.
The results showed that the inquiry method can improve student learning outcomes, with the classical mastery percentage increasing from 29% in the pre-cycle to 39% in cycle 1, then 52% in cycle 2, and further rising to 72% in cycle 3. Additionally, students became more active and enthusiastic in the learning process.
The conclusion of this research is that the inquiry method is effective for use in the learning process to improve student learning outcomes on the topic of environmental care in PAI subjects
