Abstract

Industrial activities have negative impacts on the environment such as increased pollution due to waste disposal, especially for industrial waste which directly into rivers. An effective treatment that can be carried out by industrial owners is the adsorption of industrial wastewater by coagulants. The purpose of this study was to identify the factors that influence COD reduction. A meta-analysis study was conducted by the authors by combining 20 national and international studies published and indexed on pages 2, 3, 4, 5, Indonesian Publication Index, in the span of 13 years (2007 - 2020). From the calculation of the average difference in the adsorbent dose and contact time, p values ​​of 0,000 or p <0.05 means that there is a significant influence between the adsorbent dose and contact time on the reduction in COD of industrial waste.
